Send Money Abroad Step by Step with Cenoa

Step 1: Deposit Money to Cenoa Account

First, you can start by depositing NGN into your Cenoa account. Here's how to do it:

• Open the Cenoa app and click on “Deposit” from the main screen.
• Select the “Deposit with NGN” option.
• Enter the amount you want to deposit.

Copy Bank Details

Complete the one-step verification by entering your credentials (you don't need a photo of your ID).

• Copy the bank details and complete your Naira Transaction to your Cenoa Wallet.
• Once complete, you will have dollars in your bank account to send abroad. 
• Make sure to send money to the account from a bank account in your name. Failure to do this might result in loss of funds. 

Step 2: Start the Transfer Abroad

Once you have money in your Cenoa account, you can initiate a transfer to a bank account abroad:

• From the main screen, click on “Transfer”.
• Select “Send to someone bank account”.

Enter the bank details of the person you want to send money to:

• If you are sending for the first time, click on the “Add Account” button.
• Fill in the Country, Currency, IBAN and BIC details (you can add a USD account with a bank in the US or a EUR account with a bank in Europe).
• Save the information by giving the account a nickname so you can easily transfer again in the future.
• Once the account is added, select the account and proceed with the transfer.

Step 3: Complete the Authentication Process

Authentication is required for you to use Cenoa securely. Follow the steps below:

• Take a photo of the front and back of your identity document.
• Enter your basic information such as name, surname, date of birth and address.
• Upload a utility bill, bank statement or proof of residence for the last 3 months that clearly shows your address and ID number.

Enter Personal Information

Enter information such as occupation and source of income so that we can provide you with the most relevant experience:

• Enter your occupation, income, etc. (At this point, users without any income may be rejected or the authentication process may take longer).
• You can only use your Cenoa account for transactions in your own name (make sure you fill in the account opening purpose accordingly).
• We will send you a notification once your authentication has been confirmed. (Unless there is a problem, it will be confirmed within a few minutes).

Step 4: Confirm and Send the Transfer

Finally, check the transfer details and confirm the transaction.

• Enter the amount you want to send.
• Slide the send button and your money will be on its way to your recipient's account!
